Khaya
Khaya is an African native plant that grows up to 30-40m in height with wide canopy and straight trunk. In Vietnam, Khaya is planted in the central highlands to extract wood.
Khaya’s wood has many applications: wood from large old trees is used to build ship, house and furniture, while young small trees are used to produce charcoal.
Charcoal made from Khaya’s wood has long burning time with gentle and steady heat and almost no spark or flame.
